This project began at the end of the 80s, when the first experiments with French oak barrels started. During the last harvests, the technique has been refined to achieve a wine with a perfect balance between wood and fruit. The grapes come from the highest part of the Tremoedo estate, with very low yields and small berries. Here we do intensive canopy management, in addition to a long maceration process, followed by at least 12 months on fine lees to increase the life of this wine.
Bright, pale yellow. On the nose, very complex, white flowers, stone fruit with hints of apricot and aromas from the delicate aging: roasted, vanilla and smoked aromas very subtle to respect the expression of the variety.
The palate is unctuous, fresh, with a dry finish, a spicy touch, and very long persistence.
